This Dixon B54BMP series in-line sight glass sanitary fitting is made of stainless steel 316L and has clamp connections to tubing. This fitting has a transparent tube providing the ability to check the contents of the system, and clamps to tubing on both ends for a non-permanent seal, providing access to lines. This fitting is made of stainless steel 316L for strength, enhanced resistance to corrosion, and greater ease in welding than stainless steel 304, and borosilicate glass for low coefficiency of thermal expansion and resistance to thermal stress. The gaskets are made of white butadiene rubber for resistance to abrasion. It has a maximum operating pressure rating of 145 pounds per square inch (psi) and maximum operating temperature of 200 degrees F. This in-line sight glass sanitary fitting has an inside and outside diameter surface polish of 32Ra (roughness average) for sanitary finish and is suitable for use in food, beverage, and dairy applications.
